About Mombasa Air Safari
Your Wings to the Wild
Who We Are
Founded in 1974, Mombasa Air Safari (MAS) is one of Kenya’s longest-established airlines, operating under Air Operator Certificate No. 16 issued by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA). Our operations are subject to annual audits and strict oversight by the KCAA, ensuring full compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Our pilots are instrument-rated and undergo regular refresher training each year to maintain peak performance and safety. All aircraft are maintained by a team of highly trained engineers, guaranteeing our passengers safe, reliable, and comfortable flights every time.
MAS has a proud history of flying small to mid-size turboprop aircraft across East Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands. Our leadership team brings decades of experience in regional aviation and tourism, with representation on key industry bodies such as the Moi Airport Airline Operators Committee, the Kenya Coast Tourist Association, the Kenya Tourism Federation, and the Kenya Tourist Board.
Our management team includes a Managing Director, Head of Operations, Commercial Manager, Accountable Manager, Chief Pilot, Head of Safety, Head of Quality, and Head of Base Maintenance — all full-time professionals with deep expertise in commercial aviation.
MAS is a proud member of both the Kenya Association of Air Operators and the Kenya Association of Tour Operators.

Our Fleet
At Mombasa Air Safari, we operate Cessna Caravans — aircraft renowned for their reliability and performance on short bush runways. Specifically designed for short take-offs and landings, these aircraft are ideal for safari destinations with limited infrastructure.
Each Caravan is equipped with a spacious, comfortable cabin and advanced navigation systems. Powered by dependable PT6 turboprop engines, the Cessna Caravan is a global aviation workhorse. With seating for up to 13 passengers and large windows for panoramic views, it offers an exceptional in-flight safari experience. Please note that our Caravans do not include cabin attendants.

Mombasa Air Safari is headquartered at Moi International Airport, Mombasa. Our coastal services operate from Mombasa, Malindi, and Diani Beach. Departures from Mombasa are handled through the General Aviation Terminal — a quieter, more relaxed area away from the bustle of large commercial jets, with our aircraft conveniently parked nearby.
In Nairobi, our passenger lounge is located at the Wilson Airport Business Park, Block Charlie. After check-in, guests are transferred to the Wilson Departure Lounge for boarding. All our offices operate during standard business hours, and security screening is conducted in full compliance with Kenya Airports Authority regulations.

Our Network: Where We Fly
Mombasa Air Safari operates scheduled flights to key safari destinations including the Masai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo East, and Tsavo West — with departures from both Mombasa and Nairobi.
In addition to our scheduled services, we offer private charter flights from Mombasa, Diani Beach, Malindi, and Nairobi to virtually any destination within East Africa. If our regular routes don’t align with your travel plans, we’ll be happy to arrange a tailored charter to suit your itinerary.
